Ten Days of Knight: Day Two

Project Lore’s Zand Broumand continues to serve the Lich King as he plays his new Death Knight, Bigwang, in the Wrath of the Lich King beta. Watch as he learns his way around the new hero class and perhaps even leaves the safety of the starting area.

This is the second episode in our Ten Days of Knight special that we will be running along side the regular Project Lore show, leading up to the launch of Wrath of the Lich King on November 13.     I’m glad you cracked some pretty funny jokes, Zand, because this episode would have been rather boring otherwise. It felt as if it had no real beginning or end. Just a chunk taken out of what could have been a longer episode.

    I did find the Eye quest interesting though. Were you kicked back because you took too long or because the archers shot the eye down? I would imagine that if they gave you skills such as the shroud and ghouls, their use would be to keep the eye from being destroyed faster than you could do the quest.

    Just to clear up some things. On the quest where you control the eye of Archerus, there is no duration on how long you can control it as mentioned. The eye actually has around 3500 hitpoints, so it can die as we saw by the Human Archers. The shroud ability is used like a vanish, an agro-wipe and a stealth spell. Some people asked what the deathknight mount looks like, and it’s basically a meatier version of undead mounts with black and blue armor, (the most badass looking mount in the game).

    I laughed so hard when you realized you did the whole speal for the completion of the quest. I also laughed at the bigwang joke it was hilarious.

    P.S. Does anyone else think Zand looks and sounds like Chris Kattan.

    Yes, that sword IS Corrupted Ashbringer. It obviously didn’t mean much to Zand, but the guy holding it is Alexandros Morgraine’s son. Morgraine was The Ashbringer, and yes, the corrupted version drops, or dropped, from the Four Horsemen in Naxxrammas. One of our Ret Pallies has it, which is pretty appropriate.

    Darion Mograine is the brother of Scarlet Commander Mograine that can be found in Scarlet Monastery: The Catedral, and they are both sons of Alexandros Mograine which is the creator of the sword: The Ashbringer, and I don’t know why but Darion Mograine is wielding The Corrupted version of The Ashbringer which is the blade of is father. just telling you guys some Lore :)

    Yeah I’ve heard a lot about the Ashbringer “saga” questline in WoW, but can anyone tell me where does it begin?

    The moment I saw the the sword I was like “zomg it’s the corrupted Ashbringer” and waited Zand to realize it but I was suprised that he didn’t say anything.

    Oh and, by the way, if you didn’t know you can actually see Ashbringer vs. Frostmourne at the end of the questline. Lich King is gonna fight with Mograine.

    Even actually I hear that blizz got bored on making new animations for stuff and took the old models from Naxx (cause maybe 10% of ppls have even been on Naxx) and made it the T7… just diffrent color. so that Ashbringer wud make perfect sence. Right?

    I just wanted to point out that the sword on the back of High Lord Mograine is the Ashbringer! from Naxxramas that triggers an event in the Scarlet Monastary (if you have it equiped from old wow) that makes u exalted with the scarlet crusade and hated by argent dawn. If you go on to youtube and look up beta videos there will be an event for death nights called battle for Lights Hope Chappel with the lich king and the Ashbringer is cleansed to and the sword forces Arthas to flee. Also there are videos of old wow and the Ashbringer event pre-bc.
    (just wanted to point that out because he did not mention it in the video)

    Dude!!! Darion Mograine is the son of Alexandros Mograine and in the end of the DK starting area you get to see a scene with Darion fighting Arthas just to get kicked ass. Then Tirion Fordling comes up with the uncorrupted Ashbringer and forces Arthas to run. Tirion tells you and the other DK that u only been used by the Lich King and should help work against him.In the end you find out your whole purpose was making Tirion come out from his hiding place as you can find him in north west Eastern Plaugelands at a small house. PreWotlk he will give you a questchain where you in the end will save his son from the Scarlet Crusade who is atm working for. Arthas is also one of the people who stripped Tirion from his rank of the Silver Hand for saving a orc. (He was the 5. member to join).

    No, you can no longer get the corrupted ashbringer in Naxx. Since it moved it is no longer a dropped item.
    Still don’t know if the Ashbringer is gonna be dropped in any of these instances.
