Ten Days of Knight: Day One
Project Lore’s own Zand Broumand starts a death knight in the Wrath of the Lich King Beta. Check out the first quests that new death knights will experience in the new expansion, beginning with an encounter with the Lich King himself!

This is the first episode in our new Ten Days of Knight special that we will be running along side the regular Project Lore show, leading up to the launch of Wrath of the Lich King on November 13. Alrighty, for the people that might be slightly confused, or too lazy to look them up:
Icy Touch uses 1 frost rune, does ice damage, and puts a disease on the target that reduces melee attack speed, and spell casting speed by 20%.
Plague Strike costs 1 unholy rune, and does shadow damage, and Puts on a disease that does x amount of damage over Y seconds.
Blood Strike costs 1 blood rune, and does X damage, then an additional Y damage for each disease on the target, AND heals you for a small amount based on the damage.
So the general set up is you use Icy Touch from range, then plague strike when they are close, so the target has 2 diseases on it, then use both blood runes on blood strike to heal some of the damage you have taken, and to deal extra damage.
Everytime you activate a Rune, you get 10 runic power, so in other words, you can icy, plague, blood, blood, then have enough to use death coil.
Oh, and Blood Presence is a self only buff, that increases the physical damage you deal, and causes something like 4% of all damage you deal to heal yourself.
btw, I really like how your handling this, showing the people that don’t have access to the beta a general guide on how to do things, but still leaving stuff out, so the people that are interested in the lore, aren’t really spoiled so much. (they can still read the quests, listen to the litch king constantly directing you, etc.)

40 yard range
Deals X damage to unfriendly targets, or heals X life to friendly undead units.

I love PL and DKs are FTW!
There was a blue post on the beta forums some time ago that actually stated that their intent was to create a DK ability rotation with icy touch, plague strike, blood strike, and death coil. Kinda neat stuff.

Thanks for starting a Death Knight guys! Oh, and the Hordey Dordey Ding Dongs are stoked that you are rolling Horde! Played with a Death Knight at Blizzcon but of course they are lvl 80 toons. Nice to see how the new character will start their quest chain and explanations of the rune system coming with that.

Please use correct grammar when responding to a post as it does make you seem less intelligent. Secondly, your right not everyone got on the Beta but there are tons of other videos, posts, and screen shots which do a much better job of laying this information out.
I’m not saying this site isn’t a great service to the WoW community because frankly, it is, however, it does seem geared towards those individuals who do not know much about the game in general. Oh and thanks for calling me out.

Deathknight is the one thing that has to be completely new in the expansion for me. I’ve read up on all the rest to be the best but this is something I want to experience for myself.
I already saw way too much just skipping through it to see if it was a full episode about deathknights.
Seriously, a little hint at the beginning doesnt hurt.

You should also note that pointing out someone’s use of grammar doesn’t automatically make you seem more intelligent either. The axe swings both ways…so to speak.
But getting back to the matter at hand. Not every site can appeal to every person. There are many here that think this video was pretty good. You don’t. Hey, it’s your opinion and that’s fine. But please keep in mind that opinions are not facts. Just because you don’t like this doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t like it.
And I apologize for my grammar in this post. I’m sure it was very hard for you to understand the gist of what I was saying. Just use a red marker to note the mistakes and I’ll get my mom to sign it.

I’ve run three death knights through the beginning area so far and I still find this video entertaining. Not everyone who has prior knowledge of the class/area thinks this is boring. Thanks for the great video.

I’ve got an answer for question #1.
You earn your talent points as you complete quests. Initially, you have zero talent points but you can easily gain them. The quests aren’t that hard and are quite fun.

You start out “in the same faction” playing as one of the minions of the Death Knights. After you complete the quests in the starting DK area, you break free and join the faction that you chose (in this case, Dorkins is going to be a Horde player since he chose the Tauren). That’s how it works. It is an epic set of quests, though. I really enjoyed them.

Q:Is there quest that would get u to outland or do u have to lvl to get 58–>outland?
A: Yes there is quest to get u up to 58,u go to thrall in org or king of sw for the final DK quest
the first 3-5 quest =1-10 the rest =10-58
