Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.8: The Oculus
Project Lore flies higher on their dragon mounts only to face Mage-Lord Urom in WotLK Beta The Oculus. Watch how the guys easily… well, sort of easily… take him down in this episode.
For these episodes, the team used premade level 80 characters, they are Dumpins, Shnooberella, Lylelovett, Uglynaut, and Undone. Remember that this was shot in the beta, so things have already changed since they were shot.
Here are the previous episodes of this instance:
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.1: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.2: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.3: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.4: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.5: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.6: The Oculus
Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.7: The Oculus

“FIRST!”
…NOPE!
By Withoutname on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 1:44 pm
To japindar: it seems that you have to go back to school becuase first is not second
To Project Lore: nice episode but it takes too long for me. Spending 8 episodes without any wrap up to and not done yet. In Karazan or similar raid instance it was all-right but this looks for me like plastic stretching of the instance and time spent in.

Dear Project Lore,
“Withoutname” and “killa123″ are not completely satisfied with their purchase of today’s product. Could you refer them to the Product Return page so they can be reembursed for great economic loss.
Today’s video was 11mins 48secs. Please calculate your hourly wage and multiply it by .197 in order to complete your claim. We are sorry, but Project Lore can not compensate you for the time it took to file your lame-ass comments.
Thank-you.

I like the long episodes and seeming everything that’s going on. It’s enjoyable seeing the goofing off while playing, because you know… that’s part of doing a raid with friends.
As for the community wrap up, I can live without. The question is the only part I really like.
Side note… RSS feed update please!

@ Withoutname: Agreed
@Killa123: Agreed
@Jeff: LOL, Yeah if we had to pay I would have asked for my money back for this episode. It’s really obvious that the boys got busy and haven’t been able to play. So… there is a serious lack of content so they are stretching what they have. It not a big deal, I am watching every day there is an episode.

SUCK IT BITCHES! SCHNOOBERALA WILL GET YOU! lol, new favorite moment
By ZeeZed on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Seriosuly? Too long? No content? They took down a boss and what would you have done in the maybe five minutes this episode might had saved if they just rushed into the fight without talking, killing the boss quickly and then finish the episode without anything special? Play WoW?
By Christian on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 5:37 pm
@ZeeZed We are not saying “No Content” we are saying that this isn’t Kara, it shouldn’t take two weeks , or more, to go through The Occulus.
By episode we mean WoTLK beta 3, not The Occulus 8. In the kara episode this would have been Kara 3 or 4 not Kara 8. See what I mean?
I love this show and talk it up every chance I get, but this episode has serious pacing issues.
By Jhonny Godspeed on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 6:28 pm
i love the long episodes, let them take as long as they want, but if your fightin the boss like the episode bfore this try to kill the boss in the same episode even if it is 20 mins long or more
I found out what FECUNDITY means, from the kharazan episodes
i asked my sex ed teacher lol it means sum1 that has been pregnant or sumthin else with pregnancy

You guys need to calm down. You all have to remember this was recorded pre-Wrath release. What were watching is filler episodes so they can get their mains up to 80.
By Charrge on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Hey Project Lore,
Another great post. I am enjoying these episodes immensely not only for my personal enjoyment, but also for the experience of being able to witness the new instances in WotLK. I also enjoy the fact that you are segmenting the episodes so that if a viewer prefers to watch the whole thing, or just boss battles, he or she may be able to do so.
But I must stray from the cliche “awesome job” or “nice episode” and give some constructive criticism. I think more time devoted to boss battles and more explanation (without over doing it) would be greatly beneficial.
Also, as a viewer I want to know what OTHER items bosses drop. I realize that websites like Wowhead, Allakhazam, and Thottbot can give me links to these bosses and the items they drop, but if Project Lore could expand on more than just the one item bosses drop in the individual segment, it would be a one-stop shop for more WoW players.
In all, you guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

Lol… SCHNOOBERALA should totally have owned him. Alex forget about Mana Shield, Ice Block, and Invisibility. All of which would have prolonged the fight.
I’m pretty sure he popped Presence of Mind, but since he forgot about Arcane Intellect and mage Armor(s) I have a feeling he’s probably not using Focus Magic.. considering all the spellcasters in the group, I hope he uses them.

this ep was gd but alex was pretty dumbassish for not popping some stuff he should of done

Doubtlessly, my request will brings jeers from those who think there’s nothing wrong the use of profanity. I don’t care about that. I really don’t. What I care about is that everyone should be able to watch Project Lore. Obviously, toddlers aren’t going to be viewing PL episodes, but PL still ought be family-friendly so everybody can be included.
Project Lore, please censor the swear words. I enjoy your website, but if I’m going to keep on being exposed to such vulgar words, I will take my leave of you.
To those who think “what’s the big deal about it?”, I respond in return “what’s the big deal about NOT having profanity?”
By El Padrote on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at 11:22 am
@Alayea
I have to disagree. As you say, this game and site are not intended for children. Often, making something all-inclusive that everyone can enjoy sucks out all the edginess and authenticity that made that thing worth watching in the first place. These guys are under no obligation to change for the sensitive few, just as you are under no obligation to watch.

To the person that said to use Focus Magic, that is stupid, because focus magic can only be cast upon friendly targets, and besides, focus magic also increases magic damage, so they would have died QUICKER!
