Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.3: The Oculus

Project Lore finds itself face to dragon-face with Drakos the Interrogator in WotLK Beta The Oculus. For all of their discussion about tactics, and their careful planning, none of them had any idea what was in store for them. Find out in this episode.

For these episodes, the team used premade level 80 characters, they are Dumpins, Shnooberella, Lylelovett, Uglynaut, and Undone. Remember that this was shot in the beta, so things have already changed since they were shot.

Here are the previous episodes of this instance:

Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.1: The Oculus

Project Lore WotLK Beta 3.2: The Oculus

I laughed pretty hard while you guys cleared the first boss.

Though, I doubt this is last part of the oculus? I mean still 3 bosses to go and they’re good fights.

good episode but felt too short

In my opinion, guys should use more aoe out there. For example Dorkins could tame gorilla from STV and use that Volley more often. Then you would have an “offtank” to instances and more aoe dps like Thunderstomp, what does approx 2500 crits, Roar of Sacrifice what takes 30% damage done to tank, to Hunter’s pet, and of course, buffed up Volley which make huge dmg even in BM spec.
I’m a BM Hunter myself so I decided to test this method and even grinded one level with having a tank pet tanking ~15-20 mobs a time, and It worked fine ;) Now I’ve been doing some instances and normally we just pull big pack of mobs and I send my angry gorilla there stomp some mobs down. But anyways, very nice job with these videos guys. Keep it up!

This is fantastic. My sides are hurting with laughter, yet It’s still teaching so many people how to Instance well.

    Good Job guys.

Oh, and keep Jeff, he’s awesome!

First off, I like seeing Jeff, but I miss seeing Jerry! Second, I love the coverage of WotLK, though I can’t wait to see you running these with your real characters. Keep up the good work!

By KathrielonFrostmane on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008 at 7:33 pm

oh and u guys could have easily done talk, boss, boss, boss, boss monday through friday instead of stretching it out … people like having an episode every day and having longer episodes….OBEY THE PEOPLE!!! lol

By Lansing on Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 3:46 am

What no weekly wrap up with the beautiful Alexis, short episodes as well, whats going on Project Lore?

By An awsome pally on Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 6:07 am

Hey guys good job on the video but iv’e noticed with your new addition to your party are you useing seal of curruption??? If not just ignore this but if you are thats the worst seal for ret Seal of command is way better. You do 2 attacks at once pretty much every attack. the other attack is equal or better than your normal attack.

By Blight on Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 12:58 pm

You guys definitely need to do some AoEing, all the cool kids are doing it. Course, Lyle will have to figure out which abilities to use to hold all that aggro though.

With my DPS DK though, I’ve been in quite a few Northrend dungeons with PuG’s and I’ve been able to do Crazy AoE (Unholy Blight, Death and Decay and Pestilence to spread my 3 diseases, and sometimes Blood Boil for extra fun) and I’ve never grabbed enough aggro from the tanks (Paladin’s and Warriors and a Druid tank too) to get killed.

Once you get that though, the trash mobs spawns will be done in the time it normally takes you to finish the non-CC’d one.

I have a question to you guys(especially Dorkins)

I liked the series 10 Days of Knight. They were interesting to see and with Dorkins pretty funny.
So I wonder are you guys planning on making some more “solo” episodes.
I would like to see more and more from you guys, so are planning something like that in the near future.

I’m sorry for my bad English

By PZ on Friday, November 28th, 2008 at 3:31 am

Love it when you guys include something during the closing credits!! Lol.

I miss Goggins too, but Jeff is hilarious. Perhaps adding a 6th man with a 5th camera wouldn’t hurt?? Eh… probably would.

    Great episode, keep it up!!
