Project Lore WotLK Beta 1.11
Project Lore regroups and faces down the second boss group in Utgarde Keep in WotLK beta. Will they finally best Skarvald the Constructor and Dalronn the Controller or will they come up second best again? Find out in this episode.
The beta servers aren’t linked to the armory, but here are links for the live characters: Dorkins, Goggins, Lylelovett, Shnoobins, and Juggynaut. In the Wrath of the Lich King beta, Shnoobins is an arcane mage and Juggynaut is trying out elemental.

yes you should have you pet out before the fight starts.
you are beast master spec are you not Dorkins. lol
By Dtotheug on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
You are suppose to have your pet ready before you go into a boss battle? That is what I am always doing wrong. Project Lore you teach me so much. Jimmy FTW!

Yeah for some reason I think rezing pet before pulling boss is just maybe what you should do, but then again I am only a BM hunter so what do I know, maybe survival hunter has some cool spell where if they rez their pet in battle it does 100% of the pets health damage to the nearest enemy (ok maybe not but would be cool if it did).
As for the nude charge, I think that would work best, I mean if I see someone running naked at me at 50 miles an hr Id be stuned for abit just for the awkwardness, so yes you should charge naked and then equip your gear for an extra 20 seconds of “WTF stun” time rather then just the 1 second, because really if I see someone clothed runing 30 MPH at me, Id be stuned for a second but then prepaired, but nude would take me alot longer to react.
By Krafla on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Loving the banter between Goggins and Dorkins!
By Ozzel's Cousin Fred on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
Pet out - massive dps can just have it hang around and feed it snacks while the rest of the grp is busy
Also Tanks should always wear cloth to make the healers lives more interesting!
That boss is sorta like Romeo+Juliet crossed with bear boss from ZA

That was a great fight guys. Way to go! Really enjoy the interplay between all you guys and the smack-talk you all give. I’m an old guy but it brings back memories of doing D&D in the early 80’s with my friends.
By Jbar111 on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
I like the videos that fist weapon looks like the energy sword from halo lol
By Rugi on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Now I could see that this actually stressed out most of the you guys. Good thing the argument didn’t get too “serious”.
But when you’re frustrated you don’t tend to rationalize much.
Sometimes, when you’re in a hurry, filled with stress, nervousness and a bit of excitement, you do tend to forget a buff or so. For hunters like me, I usually forget to resummon my pet, and then it’s a 50/50 guess if my dear Skit have died or not. I forget it often because of my MM spec, so pet is just a nice little damage bonus on the side. When I did it as a BM hunter, I immeadetly had to rez him, but good thing that it no longer take 10 secs and as much mana as it did on MM spec.

Makes me laugh everytime
By Vangard on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Hey guys, great episode. Loving the Lich King coverage, and I’ve gotta echo some of the other comments with a resounding “More!” It’s all great stuff, so don’t be afraid to make some longer, more in-depth episodes.
Also, on a side note, nice 1337 healz Googins, around 6:14 in the video. Not sure if anyone else noticed that
By Lee Andrew on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
Erm, nice one, but in the RSS feed, subscribed via iTunes, 1.11 is not there. After 1.10, 1.12 gets downloaded…
By Mark on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
If you manually go there, the RSS feed has 1.11 as a .flv file. I’m not having much luck transcoding it into a format that my media server can read. Any chance of having it reposted as a .mp4, like all the other episodes?
By Lee Andrew on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Thank you Mark, went to the feed page and downloaded the flash file. (.flv) In QuickTime I converted it, no problem, but I am using a Mac, not Windows.
Anyway, as Mark said, can we get the episode in the RSS feed as usual please? Cheers.
Now that I got a chance to see the episode, I have to say, omg, I have not laughed this hard in ages, awesome humor guys!
By Khayne on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
Suggestion: For bosses that randomly charge at the party, get in close to get out of charge’s range. That way, no interrupted DPS/heals to worry about and no running to pick up threat on a boss that charged away from the tank.
Other than that, great episode as always guys. Definitely looking forward to the Kara content.

The pet should be out before.
Shaman totems should be out too…

Where is the 1.11 episode on iTunes? I can’t find it.
By Orez on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at 7:26 am
A great episode guys :).
One quick question: if you killed the other mob (the spellcaster) last, would he have a different Loot table (i.e. more spell gear items, perhaps)?
By jason stewart on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Itunes is missing this episode and since i cant watch live via italy internet, i missed the whole boss fight
I just preordered 3 copies of WOTLK from 3 different vendors, i hope at least one will make it on time. lol
SHAMAN RULE. I preffer enhancement myself. WF rocks.
By SirUrza on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
*nods*
Something is definitely wrong with the RSS feed.
By Captain Obvious on Sunday, September 21st, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Your pet should be out before obviously. Why would you wait until after the pull?
By Alex on Sunday, September 21st, 2008 at 8:15 pm
The worst episode, by far. Why in the world would you put in 8 minutes of you guys arguing? Ridiculous. I love you guys, but there is really no point in what you just posted other than the boss fights/strats, which really weren’t your best to be honest.
Constructive criticism - edit out your arguments like that, if you are arguing about actual strategies, not “Should your pet be out before or after…etc.”
Other than that, good content. Every other Episode has blown me away. Thanks guys.
By Allenok on Monday, September 22nd, 2008 at 9:53 am
Lol, Huntards always forgetting their pets, tsk tsk.
By Red on Monday, September 22nd, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Gah, even though i come here to watch the episode first, tell iTunes to get on it. For some reason a few of the episodes on your podcast aren’t available, and this one isnt even downloadable!
Otherwise, gj
By Egma on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
hmm I have one question, does the drop table change depending on whom you kill first? Probably not, but would be possible if the loot is just 1st or second person to die drops gear then it could have 2 seperate drop tables.
Kill caster last for caster gear, melee last for Melee gear, that would be interesting becuase then you have to do your fight based on whom you want to get gear that run.
Again probably not but possible.

By Silentflame on Friday, October 10th, 2008 at 12:05 am
Well, as a BM Hunter, you should use a pet xD for the “COBRAH” I guess, but well, see, yeah XD
By Hayden on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
pet should be out

Mr acter needs to lay off hunter.Every one knows he only good player in your group -)
By Reeses on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
I would think it depends on the spec of the hunter lol, probably why I’m marksman cause my pet is always dead hehe
By iko on Friday, November 7th, 2008 at 8:22 am
As a BM hunter, yes your pet should be out cause it’s doing most of your damage. MM or survival doesn’t matter
By Obsidianhero on Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Personally i think the best way to do the fight would be to stack, this would get rid of the worry of the random charges. As well it would allow Goggins as a shamman healer to chain heal anyone in the group taking damage from the charge.
but over all nice techniques, this will really help me out in a couple of days
By Josh on Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at 11:56 am
” as a tankkkk…..should i wear my armor when i go in to battle or should i just go….let me know? appreciate that” LOL
