Folks, a quick FYI. From what I have seen the ‘crate trick’ is considered an exploit.

awsome episode i was waiting for when u guys were going to do this mount run. I actually did it a few weeks ago with my 73 pally, however i didnt know u could open the gate with the boxes so i had to kill the bosses. I also did go in the ziggurat when the door opened for Ramstien, it really sucked waiting lol.

No, it’s still has a 1% drop rate. It used to be much worse at a 0.10% drop rate.

@DeeJayDieSel: He has Addons on normal episodes so… it’s probably just because he’s on Dorkins’ regular pc and since it’s pretty simple without addons, they didn’t download all of them on that pc.

I did this run earlier this year. It took me around 92 kills to get it.

Also, Big Tip! - After you use the two boxes to enter the final area with the abominations, if you look around and click a few more boxes around the exterior of the room you can get rid of both doors to the Baron and save yourself 1-3 minutes. You won’t have to fight the abominations, the extra boss, or have to deal with the skellies.

Yay! More Winterstrike please. Dorkins is great and all, but each of the cast members brings a different flavour to the show. A bit of variety is a good thing

Mind you, with that said, nothing beats having all of the guys in the studio. The banter is awesome, and they just feed off each other.

actually if you go in the back door, you can actually aggro the magister with a speed boost move (aspect of the cheetah is what i had) and spam a ranged attack. good for farming keys

I got mine on my 5th run. Druid in bear form and I didn’t know about the box exploit… I did each of the mini bosses and cleared each tower inside to get the main doors to open. Not that bad. I was an 80 Druid Bear in Reputation and Quest Blues and Greens and did a run in about 12 minutes. Did the last area with all of the leaky ogres in two pulls. Not so bad with 360 degree swipe now.

Was kind of fun, and all of my guild called me all sorts of nasty names when I got it and they had been doing that mount run for months. LOL.

didnt anyone ellse noticce what a mess his bars are he has tehm all; over teh plave on my paly i have all the seals and all the judgements togather start of with crusader strike then storm, hammer of justice my judgements hammer of wrath excorism flash of light holly light and last my aoe spell its not the best setup but works for me i am thinking about moving ito the top bar and moving my flash of light a bar closer my seals are on the 1 side bars and my buffs and mound spell are on the sacond ones the rest are on my top bars ya he is only 64 and he lots of bars emty but still i cant imagine how he must do anything with that setup

Another mount run and another epic fail, sadly.
Still nice to see Mr. Winterstrike back on screen, maybe next run combine Winterstrike with the D to the Orkins at see what mayhem on screen and in game they can produce.

Would be nice to see another Horde adventure or maybe even the PL team 5 man something like MC in the future.

Nice to see a new face doing stuff solo (with Juggy as Dorkins seems to get away with calling it soloing).
I really like Winterstrikes humour and little commentaries.
He seems to say that he doesn’t know stuff more than Dorkins, but I get the feeling he knows what is going on much more of the time than Dorkins =P

Maybe Winterstrike could get his own show where he goes round judging other small Azerothian creatures?

From what I understand, the crate trick is a known bug and considered an exploit if used over and over. I assume by now it has been fixed, tho I will try it tonight and see.

Nice mount run guys, I just do it the old fashioned way and still only takes 15 mins at the most anyway. I have tryed about 20 times and no drop but it has peaked my interest again.

the box trick is interesting. I did it over my lunch break. 4min to get to Baron. Stealth FTW!! Leave it to Juggy to know the trick.

However, in killing the 3 bosses and the guys inside the buildings it only takes about 15min.

Also, after about my 50+ run (not in a row) it dropped. My argent crusade rep is Exalted and with all the rune cloth I am nearly at exalted with gnomeragan exiles. It is fun and I go back from time to time to help guildies.

nice vid guys. maybe you can run a few more times and show us the drop and achievement you get when receiving one of those mounts.

And i have to agree. Winterstrike in soloing is kinda nice. but you cant beat the team winterstrike and dr dorkins.

They are like a comedy duo. (Sweeping the deeps) From what i’ve seen of all the projectlore movies. they are the laurel and hardy. So instead of soloing maybe 2 man something in the future and have juggy run with you on the background like alway’s of course. :p

keep it up so i can spend my break times @ work usefull :p

I learned about the box trick on Saturday and was surpised that it worked. i did about 10 runs saturday and sunday had other things to do. I get home monday and lo and behold Jeff is doing the mount run cool, then i read the comments and clicked the link in Jame’s post.
I really didn’t think i was doing anything wrong, i mean the post i learned it from was from dec 2008 so if it was something blizz didn’t want u to do then they would have fixed a few months ago so i opened ticket and gm said it was an expolit and could possibaly result in a ban. I love this game so i’m not gonna do something to get ban so i said to my self fine and went crazy with my ret pally and killed everything from service gate to baron then did another but this time started looting (i like to kill many at a time and it is a pain to loot the piles of bodies and it is low lvl stuff right?) then i seen that the grays were between 1-2g and the mobs avg (the elites) about 25 sliver a piece and thought i can make some gold here so tonight i did 5 runs and killed and loot everything i got about 400g in loot and vendor stuff and have 92 auctions (37 are runecloth don’t care if it sells use it for rep later) and it was a lot more fun then mining. So now i see the way to get my epic flyer and after killing baron it is nice to stroll back to the back door though a compelety empty gaunlet fun way to make gold.
But what i wanted to say before i went on and on was this box thing has been like this since at least dec why havn’t they fix it? I won’t use it again just gonna go for mount and get the gold for epic flyer while i’m at it

5 runs lets say even half hour a piece (looting takes longer then the killing) so 2 1/2 hours almost 400g now and 92 auctions well 55 minus the runecloth 1 purple boe about 10 blues rest greens and stuff like essence of undeath etc my mailbox gonna be full in 48 hours when all that shit expires but u know that some of it gonna sell so that is gonna add to that almost 400g

I just thought of something during those runs i went to slivermoon 3 times to empty bags and i checked my mail on last trip and had about 90g from ah so really it was right at 300g not close to 400g but still i’ll take it, thought 400g was a little high

there are acutly 2 ways to open the door 1 kill all the mini bosses and kill the dudes inside there houses ( just like a smurf christmas special ) or open the boxes which funnyly enuf i found out 2 days after i watched this vid so there u go i like killing the mini bosses coz they drop loot and i can give that Crap to my hunter or sell it and try get 5000 gold coz i just sem to spent allthe money i get any way Love the show keep it up oh any BTW could u please do a mount run with jeff and dorkins PLZ!!! also its great u can film juggys screen now coz it was really anoying him seeing crap and u guys couldn’t

it took me 2 weeks of runs to get the mount, and while doing so i gatherd all the Runecloth i needed to be Exalted with those racist gnomes who were the hardest to get exalted with, and as a human the Argent Dawn rep was awesome(+10% rep increase then other races) so i got my ,The Argent Champion title, Rivendare mount runs are great and kinda annoying if u actdently aggro a gargoyle next to a banshee next to a nerubian next to 3 ghouls who are then next to 2 banshees, 2 more nerubians, 6 cultists, 8 skelingtons and 3 zombies….as a caster/clothie..btw nerubians silence…so the ONE time I get killd is the time I got my Rivendare mount ^^ grats to me…

So.. the glitch everyone knows about now, might as well give it all away.. When you open the boxes near the magistrate to open the 2 gates to get to the patchwork area, hang a right and hug the wall, open the 4 boxes which are on the right hand wall, then that opens the barons door. No having to clear the area and going through Ram and the others, just straight to Rivendare. Hope this helps, with this glitch you can be in and out in 8 mins (at Lv80)

People who think that mount is Cool or Decent then that’s sad. thats one of the easiest mounts that drops — dropped like 3 times when we did a Guild Run. I got it and the rest were upset so the next couple times I passed.

GET 4-5 DRUIDS WITH YOU. IT MAKES THE DROP RATE HIGHER THAN WITHOUT THEM.

why didnt you just do it like old times with the killing the bosses for the gates to open since you pull so much anyway?

I have to say, this guy (WInterstrike) really is funny. Good timing, and good comments It started a bit ackward since he probably isnt used to do this alone, but it went on great after that, more solo’s please!

To be fair to the more “hardcore” wow community, I dont think project Lore has alot of respect for it. Its obvious these (fun!) guys are casual gamers, tho I do think the shaman has the game in his pocket like most of the less-casual WoW gamers. Nice tight UI, which causes very high awareness of things going on around you, but only the things that matter. No keyturning, proper keybinds, yep, it just makes sense.

That being said, it’s cute seeing Winterstrike “owning” the undead and cleansing Strat of the afforementioned undead.

You were cruisin’ for a bruisin’ if you went to the original ‘end game’ 5 mans without a group of level 60s. Unlike today’s ‘normals,’ vanilla WoW’s 5 mans were quite tough - even for people with a decent amount of raid gear. Stratholme, Scholomance, Dire Maul, LBRS, and even the end parts of BRD were ridiculously over-tuned for a long time - Some absolutely crazy pulls.

The only time I recall looking for people under 60 was out of sheer desperation after having been LFG for an hour or back in the day when you could run 10 man raids in normal instances (It was tough to complete instance quests because you couldn’t do them in raids and you could never find a group who wanted to ‘5man’ the 5man).

i ran strath for 8 hours straight building up rep for Dawn(i had a sickday, what else was i suppose to do?) and it still hasn’t dropped. that’s on top of my ritual of running the instance once a day(or at least once every day i remember to do it). i think i’m just destined to never get the mount.

and the sad thing is i got the Headless Horseman’s Mount the first time i ever ran the dude with a 99 roll.
