OH MY GOD! After Goggins yelled, “I’m dead!”, I realized where I’ve seen him before. He is Crazy Steve! I can’t believe it took me this long.

just letting you know another strat for the boss is have the tank kite her while everyone moves becuase the if the fire elements get close to the person they are chasing they will stop and put out a small aoe around them but you have the dps do that and then focus fire the hell out of her the only problem is that if the elementals go for the tank wait for it to stop then move if the tank keeps high enough threat she will stick and just keep following him
ps yes I have used this strat with much success and I am a tank good luck on getting through I can not wait to see you do heroic settek halls

i was in a group that downed here much easier have the tank tank her by the elevator and have all dps burn the fire elements they will go down fast on the other side of the room and with the tank on the boss you can keep her in place with out dealing with runing into the fire i hope this helps

Anyone know the addon DrDark is using that shows the conversion rate for agility on your character.
By Svensored on Friday, August 1st, 2008 at 5:41 am
I’m not sure exactly which AddOn DrDark is using, but RatingBuster performs the same function.
You can get it off WoWInterface at: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5819

rofl, i never thought i would learn something from my favorite heroic, i swear ive ran mech 1000 times and no hunter has ever done the glitch out with the pet. well anyway, i just ran heroic mech with my guild and convinced the hunter to try out this new trick i found out lol, well the hunter sends his pet up there and somehow gets confused on where to go and ends up getting his pet killed, hilarity ensued and we just continued with the instance, next time ill tell the hunter to hug the wall so he doesnt pull everything in the upper room.

good work on the production of the show and great to see the real enjoyment you get out of playing the game.
You did seem to make it hard for yourselves though, if you have the tank kite the boss around the outside of the room it gives the grp a lot more room to move. The healer can position himself/herself on the platform where the boss originally stands before being engaged, doing this will give the healer a better view of the fight.
Will be interesting to see you do MGT on heroic as that instance I find to be the most fun/challenging of all heroics for grps, even on my paladin who is T6.
Anyway keep the episodes coming.

Hm, I noticed that you said that the Sun Eater is the best purple drop in the game besides legendary gear. There’s tanking weapons much better throughout all the end game raids.
Also, you took the cloak from the chest then you said you had enough badges for Dory’s Embrace? You wasted a shard.

i think he means best purple tanking sword drop from heroics. not from raids. but theres probably some better stuff.

Great episode. Nice communication and you guys were really getting into it and having fun.
I also lol’d about the Sun Eater comment. But then, those off-hand comments are always in a half distracted way and sometimes the information imparted is inaccurate (it’s Sepethrea, not Sepethera). You guys just want to get into the meat of things, obviously, so such obfuscating comments are minor. XD
This fight can be hard to heal, especially with people going out of range. But you guys showed that it isn’t too hard to pull off - and even managed to slip in the obligatory gnome sacrifice. Well done.

One of the big robots is actually already downstairs. When a charged first comes through, you can stun the guy (hammer of justice, concussion blow, etc), they aren’t immune.
I was surprise the tank picked up some mobs by moving in there. Tanks don’t have ranged weapons for nothing.
Just shoot them (or throw) and take aggro. Paladins can use Avenger’s Shield without risking it hitting the boss.
Sepethrea does two things that are annoying and should be mentioned. She pushed back the tank, after which there’s probably a gap between her and the tank. The tank should stand with his back against a wall, or at least make sure no trail is behind him. If he gets pushed through one, the melee DPS would need to go through it.
The other thing is a Dragon’s Breath kind of attack, which disorients everyone in front of her. This will also drop aggro and she will run for someone else. Use FD, iceblock etc, or tank needs to use intercept or intervene, and taunt.
Fire resistance is very useful, so have a shaman or paladin use that.
Another general note, it might be nice to think and work out what is said before shooting. The sun eater the best tank weapon available? Yes, it’s very, very good but it’s comparable to Kings Defender in Karazhan (a ’sidegrade’) and the Mallet of the Tides is definitly an upgrade, as is naturally all drops Black Temple and higher.
