I’ve watched every episode as soon at it came out, so don’t consider this a troll comment.

But, the videos need to be MUCH longer. 30% of the video is simply a review of a previous video! The amount of actual, original, non-fastforwarding, content is only like 2 minutes. Boring!

If this keeps up I might pop in every month or so to watch a few videos, but I will not keep Project Lore on my daily RSS list.

Correction: The whole video is 3 minutes long! The amount of original content is closer to 30 seconds.

I really do like Project Lore and I can’t wait for it to come out daily but come on… it needs to be waaay longer. You could spend more time on the trash, some more detail on pull tactics, trash types, damage types, gear recommendations and mob movement patterns.

Make it 5or6×10 minutes episodes. Please!

I agree with the above post, this video seems way too short, i would recommend going into more detail about things in the dungeon.. maybe some certain gear that would be good for certain classes, or if the videos are gonna stay short how about slamming them together and releasing them all at once like a weekly type thing instead of trying to make it daily.

By Chris on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 1:24 pm

I agree with Garry and AlysiumX.

Honestly, I assumed Project Lore would be a weekly 50-60 minute show. I would absolutely love to, once a week, sit down with some coffee and lose myself in a great gaming experience.

With these silly videos, the whole thing is over by the time I have poured by coffee! Gaming is a form of escapism, and it is really impossible to escape when the video is over before I have even settled in the watch it.

Plus, I really don’t understand how you have 3 minute videos, yet spend 33% of the time reviewing the 3 minute video from the day before.

too short guys…sorry had to say it to support the community, but maybe this weekly idea would be a better concept.

By Ilishan on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 2:19 pm

well there wasnt really any trash in this video and why waste time to pull mobs that they dont need to kill?
another great episode project lore =).

I think the length’s fine, its a podcast, not a tv show.

By Jafa on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 2:32 pm

Guys do you realize that this is the very next possible pull after killing the previous boss? Maybe next time they can wipe for you and just film flying back…

By Ilishan on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 2:58 pm

and they did only review in the first 18 secs the rest of that minute is the strat to the mini boss.

By Kyle Dylan Conner on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 3:04 pm

That was very short. I understand it’s a podcast, but that was like a daily mini episode.

Hah. Its the guy from iCarly!

Do you guys know what addons they are using. I’m interested in the the scrolling text that shows their heals and damage, and the text that displayed when the boss did the hammer thing.

By Knotaro on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 3:53 pm

+1 for releasing the episode in one full part a week instead of three over a few days.

By AlysiumX on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 5:11 pm

    @ timmeetheturtle
I believe that scrolling text you can turn on in the combat option of the interface menu. I think the text where he did that boss thing is default but not sure…

yeah go project lore i think you guys should show more of wat you get in the loot for each boss

By peyton on Thursday, July 31st, 2008 at 5:06 am

yea it does seem a little weird watching only like 3 mins, but the weekly would be a great idea for the online and seperate the dailys into podcasts. and yes that is spencer from icarly. he was also in drake an josh as a crazed movie theater worker, and is something else and i cant remember what it was.

Loving the series so far guys, I agree with the general consensus on the length though. The videos definitely need to be longer. Other than that, simply awesome.

I’ve ran these heroics probably a million times and I still enjoy watching you guys run through them. Project Lore will most likely be a huge resource come Wrath and I could see a lot of the smaller guilds that will be running through the 10-man content benefiting from maybe having Project Lore go over the new 10-man raids as well as the upcoming 5-mans. I imagine logistically a 10-man Project Lore could be quite a bit of a hassle though.

The videos are pretty short but I like it this way because it makes me wanna watch it even more the next time. I should have said this before in want of my other comments but Why’d you guys skip some instances like blood furnace when you were in hellfire and other stuff like that will you go back to them?

well anyways… 4/5 on this video

By Jafa on Thursday, July 31st, 2008 at 9:42 am

For all you wanting to watch the videos once a week I have an idea for you. Come here only on Saturday and magically the entire week will be posted. It’s a crazy thought isn’t it?

Grant, the reason they are in Mech instead of the other Hellfire dungeons is this is the easiest Heroic, and I think they are doing the Heroics in order of difficulty.

Uh oh, better stop offering suggestions, the fan boys are getting in a tizzy.

By spanishboi7 on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 at 1:50 pm

ok, i like watching the episodes but if u could make it longer that would b better but if not u could always put some other types of things like some quests or something

By Gaiwyn on Thursday, August 28th, 2008 at 2:32 am

It seems that many people are requesting these videos to be longer. I’m actually doing some catchup right now with the episodes, but I agree: they are too short. Also, there needs to be more commentary or at least talking during the fights. Make snide remarks about gnomes; comment on what attacks you are doing; anything. Please!

Besides that, keep up the good work, guys. ;)

If you have a good group (Karazhan geared, Mechanar is one of the easiest heroics) the tank doesn’t need to bounce. Make sure your healer is staying focussed and the tank can just tank his hammer thingey. Yes, big heals are needed but that’s no problem at least for anything but druids in tree forms, I suppose.

The advantage is that DPS can just continue to go on full-out without the tank having to regrab aggro after losing in on the hammer phase.
