You can do phase 1 with out dancing by having your casters stack in the back corner by the door, then have your tank and melee move heigen to the opposite corner and turn heigen so that he is no longer standing on the platform, everyone should be in range for heals/ranged dps without casters being silenced. Did this the other night worked great

I agree with Jeff though the way they explained it was WAY better before listening to it i was never sure how we were supposed to know where to stand but after that explanation i feel pretty confident for my future runs whether i am tanking (which i am still learning a little more about BUT getting pretty good if i do say so myself) or DPSing

Also Alex has already announced Jerry is to busy to with hollywood to do this show anymore he is Busy with Icarly and Donny Darko (i think thats it) stuff and very likely movies…

The waves do Nature damage, so if it’s your raid’s first time on this, have a hunter have his nature aura on/drop a nature res totem in the middle of the room. You could also wear some nature resist gear if you have it.

It may keep you alive long enough for the healer to keep you up should you get one step behind. The waves do a lot of damage.

Once you’ve got the strat down you don’t need to do this of course.

A thing that are good to remember for this fight is that it can be completed even if only one tank and a healer is alive (can even be an elemental shammy or a shadow priest who switches to healing). It may take a good 40 minutes, but he will go down over time. He hits like a wet sponge and has no enrage timer, so as long as the fight has at least some mediocre dps and healing alive, then it won’t be a problem.
Of course if the other 8 people dies it may be more beneficial to simply wipe it and let them have another go at trying to learn the dance. Depends if you are doing it as a guild to learn it, or as a pug to just do it I guess.

When learning the dance, a good thing to remember is that the strategy with marking somebody and saying “just follow that guy” usually doesn’t work so well. The problem is that if there is the least bit of latency between him and the server or you and the server, he is not going to be in the right spot, and by the time you see him move it will be too late. The best way to do this is to learn the dance, by following the strategy mentioned in the episode (watching the lines of where the green stuff shoots up, and then going past that point when it goes away).

They should mention that the diseases must be cleansed or healed through (preferably cleansed), or you won’t even make it to the dance.

only bad or rather unexperienced players would say this is a challenging fight. it has no unreliable events to deal with and it should always be clear to people what’s happening once they are aware of the tactics. knowing the tactics and possessing the ability to execute these can’t possibly be challenging unless one is not used to bringing effort to a raid.

some of the project lore episodes are kind of informative and entertaining, but i find it a pity that the dedicated players in a well-funded show are generally lacking skill and experience. you guys should navigate your browser away from thottbot and over to elitistjerks and start reading before you encounter planned content or at least before you educate people in it. just my two cents…

seriously, i thought project lore was going to be interesting, but they are barely real WoW players. for god sakes im on bowbins armory right now and he’s got like an mp5 gem in his helm and 70 trinkets.

they need to step up their game or someone needs to make series with some more interesting raids.. im not saying togc but naxx is their newest episodes? cmon…
