Episode 18.15: Naxxramas
Project Lore journeys further into 10 man Naxx and comes to confront the final boss in Naxxramas: Kel’Thuzad. This is the hardest fight in Naxx and the guys are up for it… we hope. Find out how they do in this episode of Project Lore.

YEEEEES NOBODY GOT THE “F” WORD IN!!!
By khazzhar on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:12 pm
Ok I know that they make money off of the advertisements, but this is overkill. He does basically the exact same speech about how good squarespace is at the beginning and then right in the middle. I could stand that, but seriously this is just getting annoying. Ok we know how much you like SquareSpace, but wasting 5 minutes of my time just for advertisements about this stupid website is pissing me off. I can deal with the popups, I can even deal with the little shpeel about the guilds in the middle, but what is the point of that stupid thing right at the beginning!!
Ok, my rant is done. Love to watch the show, and as I was never able to see nax 40 man I was excited to see Kel’thuzad for the first time. The only thing that I wish they had done in this Naxx series was bring back the exact same group that they had for Kara :D. That would have been epic.
By Paul on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:20 pm
This would have been a LOOUUUDD NOOIISSEESS moment
epic!

The wipes when the boss only has 1-3% health left…. are some of the finest. Ask anyone.
By Sioen on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Don’t you just love the 1% wipes, I know I do.
By Sioen on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
Oh and please don’t do an add right before the boss, ty.
By khazzhar on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
On another note, that WAS an epic wipe.
By Fizzl on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:44 pm

Awwwwwwwwww! *note to self: never read comments before video === SPOILERS*
Amazing!… love’em, i agree. Its like the drama in an action movie. This WAS needed
I wonder why Bastosa didnt save Lay On Hands ’till the end. Or he used it earlier? Naw, there were 2 other pala’s with LoH .. :S anyways that answers Fridays episode “finishes up Naxx”
ok so they kill him friday! And they will SLAUGHTER HIM lol.
Great stuff. Perfect way to end it.
Cheers!

Four words: E.P.I.C
By Baek on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:52 pm
That was awesome, probably more entertaining than a few of the steam rolls on previous bosses. I know I’ve been in the same situation where we get him down to that last little bit when you only have one healer left and he gets Ice Blocked and it’s over.
And to all the people complaining about the advertisements, send PL money and they probably won’t put the ads in, stop complaining seriously. They have to pay for the site and the production costs somehow. Complaining about a 30 second ad in a free show is stupid.
By Exaile on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
@khazzhar
That is probsbly the agreement between Project Lore and Square Space.
Uou can always place the video loading a bit, then skip the inicial part and then skip the middle part, dont really see whats the big deal about that.
@PL
epic wipe, i really thought you would pull that off, i once did the dance fight boss on heroic with less than 10 ppl.
By Grido on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
I like they actually wiped and not just clean sweep.
Its really cool pulling off the close finishes.
If Lyle had helped with the DPS up until the adds they might of got him.

By Zildjian on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
You guys rock!!! PL FTW!!!
That was very exciting…I was standing and cheering like a frickin cheerleader. It might of been a wipe, but it definitely was EPIC!!
By Alex on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
biggest problem i seen in the fight was #1 the rush by bastosa to pull everything thus using up his and the groups mana up quick. then #2 people not paying attention to what was going on around them. EPIC heals though but the mana drain before the main boss fight cost them the fight and btw use viper to recoup mana hunters it doesn’t cost ya that much in DPS to recoup for 3 or 4 shots then switch back to dragonhawk or hawk whichever you use.
By cocopuff on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
i cnat believe you guys exauly wiped
By Edyion on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Wow this is hands down my favorite episode to date. Never thought i would see something that topped Jimmy does Utguard Keep. Reminds me of all the epic wipes I’ve been in since I started. Keep up the good work guys.
By ^.^ on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
don’t usually comment on your vids, but felt i had to on this one
i loved it! awesome awesome entertainment!
this kind of intense action is what makes the videos work best - sweeping so easily through naxx without any wipes was getting kinda dull to watch! - i love the noob PL
so on that note, get your asses into ulduar!
i’ll quite happily watch wipe after wipe - not really sure why, it’s just more entertaining
thanks for the ep.
By Arexor on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:20 pm

If you check out the Armory, they have actually been into Ulduar
E.g Bastosa has the first set bonus of Conqueror.
Awesome episode. Slacking healers! I wanna join in and help!
By Yunka on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Very awesome episode, despite the wiping. All the variations of Kel’Thuzad’s name had my mom (who, believe it or not, plays WoW) and my brother laughing. Cannot wait until this Friday to see what happens next. ^_^
By Sarnas on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:23 pm
This reminds me of my guilds 1st attempt, we all died except me (DK) i managed to get my army of the dead up just before the tank died and we got him down to only 2500 hp left before i got nailed and died. it was the most epic wipe i have ever seen.

By Dave on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Reminds me of our 1% 100k health ignis wipe in 25 last night. We dropped him 2nd try thankfully.
Oh, and at 4:15-4:18 a moth or something flys by Alex’s head lmao.
By ckiemnstr345 on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:51 pm
Too bad they only had a priest and a pally as healers. With the changes to druids out now a well geared druid can actually solo heal everything in Naxx except for Heigan and that is due to the fact that you can’t heal both sides of the fence. Kel’thuzad is easier with a resto druid with the fact that a single rejuvination kept on everyone prevents anyone from dieing from an ice block.
By Bucketface on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
ARG!! I read the comments before I saw the video *facepalm*
By Zidius on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:08 pm
That was just awesome Ghosty is a healin fiend! if it weren’t for those two ice blocks on him i am pretty confident this woulda been a cleared run….that was just fun to watch….
Bast shoulda yelled: LEEERROOYY!! before pulling though hehe
By Sean on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
That was awesome.
Quite cute that Alex doesn’t know his priority list.
@alex&dorkins, in AotV, whack on rapid fire and just spam steady shot, you’ll mana up in no time.

By Kyle on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
AWSOME FIGHT GUYS!!
and ffs, why is squarespace ads in the vids 3 times? this is getting really annoying, i mean srsly, have pl become advertising whores? yea, cool site, it would really help if ANYBODY NEEDED A SITE LIKE THAT BUT NOT EVERYONE DOES SO 1 AD IS ENOUGH PLZ
By Kyle on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
to add to my comment up there…
ALEX STOP F&$*#%@ UP PL WITH YOUR ADVERTISING!! It is one thing for one ad in the vids, but 3??!?!?! COME ON stop being whore-ish, you have become squarespace’s bitch, we dont want to see that =(
By Barnifus on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
Best episode so far!
By solastina on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
Love the action but
Please Please more Squarespace ads. The tears
QQ sustain me,
taste like salty honey
By solastina on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
P.S.
I don’t watch the ads i just take a second or 2 and go right by them all action no ad.
I been thinking about starting a website and Squarespace is where i will go since they support this wonderful FREE content.
Don’t want the ads go get your wow fix on youtube’s wonderful “I can almost see what u did there” grainy videos, NO ADS on there
By Dana on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Pretty epic.
Hard to beat doing an Undying run and having someone die at 1% though.
By onthebuses on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
EPIC! Is all i can say, grats for trying though. I could feel the tension in that room with ya, and me and my m8 were like..no way there gonna do it, then we were like fuck when u didnt. But once again epic guys. Grats to all in the totally rad guild who did that. Best ep ever in my opinion,
And to the people who KEEP complaining about the ads that are in the videos, this shouldnt be a problem, skip past them, but PL does it, I mean squarespace give PL site users a discount, so its only fair there product should be advertised. Without ads you may have to pay to watch the videos, and then im sure you would all be saying Bring the ads back.
Anyways grz again TRG
By Gimly on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 6:05 pm

I <3 you Bastosa. “Wait.. what’s Bast doing?!? OMG WE’RE DOING IT LIVE, GUYS!”
“Oh thank you Zand — oh wait you ment Bast.”
lol, I love you too Josh.
This was well done. I agree with above that I didn’t think the great Jimmy Wipe of UK would be topped.. but I guess I was wrong
Sad that you didn’t get it, but nice fight!

amazing video guys OMG!!! sweet battle that was so amazing.
By davie on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 7:16 pm
A very entertaining episode, on the edge of my seat till the end. I was starting to wonder if ya’ll may have been editing out any wipes. May have got a little complacent after sweeping past the previous few bosses in there. I do enjoy the joking around, it would be pretty boring if nobody said anything during a fight, a little more concentration may have been wise on ‘Kel’Thud’ LOL.
I don’t pretend to have any better strat, I have’nt done that fight yet, can’t wait to see if you change how you try it next time.
I don’t like the ads but I realize that is the only way to get free quality content, and it is so easily bypassed. Ya gots to pay the bills.. Keep up the good work
By Moominator on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
Lol the F word is now “First”
I gotta say that Juggy’s reflexes on starting to heal the only healer that was left that was in Frost Tomb is epic!
Frost tomb healing needs abit of skill and Juggy almost ensured PL’s victory over Kael’thug!
By Jedda on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
STOP WITH THE ADS! Yes I know you need the money guys to keep up ther servers, but your videos have become so much shorter because of them…
By Jeff on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 9:00 pm
The Jimmy wipe will never be bettered, IMO… it was more of an implosion than a wipe, but still tops for out-&-out hilarity.
That Lyle coulda weighed in with some ranged…? Fair, but I guess knowing for certain where the final add’s where coming from didn’t look too predictable.
Ad’s (of a different type) - I’m guessing they’re contractual, but the extra spiel at the beginning does kind of push the overkill linit a touch… jumping forward is all well & good, but if your ‘net connection is tending towards the lukewarm, speedwise, then that option is “brown stuff on a spinny thing…” aka “Ain’t happ’nin”…
Great run, so far… I thought Naxx was only the 4 ‘Quarters’, so I’m on a learning curve with this one…
Keep it up…!
By Nick on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
had things like that happen in 25 man but we managed to down him kel’thuzad is like where all the epic fight storys comefrom
By ragaxen on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Ridiculously awesome
By Angel on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
Great fight.. but I don’t understand the soul stone choice and Alex not using multishot.. that’s alot of missing DPS when you get the boss down to 2%.
By aadjed on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 1:52 am
My first fight with KT in Naxx25 we brought him down to 81k before the last 2 died in our raid. When u r lieing there with ur release button over your head, 81K looks like just 2 more shots. But we did down him on the third try n i got my nice T7.5 helm.
By maVman on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 2:31 am
Big fan of the show
(don’t listen to the add-haters, i actually prefer the professionally produced show to anything that could be done add-free)
this one had me going crazy … i’ve been in situations like this hundreds of times, and i always the one producing loud noises
why is lyle just standing around though? if you know the adds come at 40 % - why isn’t he wacking kel’s behind for at least the first half?
By 1337 on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 2:34 am

By Ranger Joel on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 6:48 am
FFS Lyle is terribad!
Project Lore removed from bookmarks after this last episode.
Just effing stand there with your thumb up your butt for the first 60% of the boss and then wipe at 1%. He would easily be putting out 1000 dps (would be more if he was good).
Totally Rad needs to gkick his ass or send him back to the minors for tanking 101.
Good luck in Ulduar with crap like that in your raid.
By Blight on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 7:24 am
Agreed with a lot of people that this episode was pretty awesome.
Some people mentioned Lyle adding in some Deeps, maybe he could of helped with ranged Deeps, but that would of been minor.
There’s a big problem when you have to many melee DPS folks on Fail’Thud, and that’s the Icy Blast (?) attack he does, it affects the target, AND everyone in a 10 yard radius from the target. So, if you get too many Melee DPS too close together, you basically have more then one person suddenly affected by the Ice Prisons and taking a ton of damage. Extra work for the healers, and a higher chance of losing someone.
3 Melee DPS is just right for this fight, and this group was pretty heavy on Melee DPS as they had the DK Tank, Juggy, Winterstrike and the DPS DK doing Melee.
Adding Lyle to Melee would of been more trouble then it was worth.
By Blight on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 7:39 am
More information on Kael’Thuzad’s ice prison attack:
Frost Blast
Places an Ice Block effect on the targeted player and all players within 10 yards, rendering them unable to perform any action. *This effect will continue to chain to anyone within 10 yards of anyone affected*, as with C’thun’s Eye Beam. It will deal 104% of their maximum HP in damage over 4 seconds. If those affected are not healed within 4 seconds, they will die.
By Mike on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 8:28 am
Boycot SquareSpace! Looks to me like SS is a marketing virus. They dangle a few dollars in front of someone and the next thing you know they are constantly interrupting your video streams.
I for one can honestly say I will forever encourage people to avoid squarespace.
Adds off to the side of a window are one thing, but interrupting videos streams for these stupid commercials is another.
By Kalgorn on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 10:03 am
The squarespace add doesn’t bother me so much. They did this earlier when they first started up the show with the new monitors they got.
But yea, that was awesome PL guys. I was rooting for you guys to get him. lol. That really would have been the most epic win. I’ve never seen this guy defeated. I’ve only ever made it to him 1 time bc Naxx is so effen long that i can never clear the entire place.
But don’t feel too bad. I’ve been in a group before for Malygos. We wiped with Maly only having 1000 health left.
By Leemer on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 12:54 pm
@ Ranger Joel
STFU you wanna insult people and complain and say “gkick him” well then stop watching and go cry…dumbass….as for the video great job guys a shame you wiped at the end gl next time.

By oogadaboogada on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 2:48 pm
AMAZING episode. I was pretty bored watching when he was between 80-30% health, but at the end I was at the edge of my seat! Great job
By Dreyja on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 2:48 pm
Dude if one of my guildies went and pulled what Baast did…. so NOT COOL.
Worked out to an epic battle but how do you do something like that and not communicate with the group? I’m not bashing him I just don’t understand. It’s one thing when there’s an accidental pull, we’ve all been there.
That. Was. Epic.
And the adds are so not a problem gang. You just pull that little circle past ‘em - no problems. I’m thinking of suporting SS. They look like a pretty sharp site.
ps LOL @ Ranger.

I love all these idiots saying “Lyle shoulda dps’d him and he woulda died”. You idiots probably A. Never seen KZ or B. Such an arrogant SoB that you don’t know anyone else’s job except your own. The OT never ever goes in and does mele on KZ… thats just asking for a wipe.
@Bast
Dude, you are the most awesome tank ever…
@Ghost
Nice job on heals, felt same way when i solo healed Arch with one tank (he had 2 sec b4 he enraged, dps sucked)
@Lyle
You are a really nice prot tank, and you don’t seem to get as much credit/spotlight time as much as the others…same for you brandon but you’re such a frikkin beast it doesnt matter
@Winterstrike- Pay more attention silly, to die from a skeleton should make you feel like a major noob :*(
That wipe was just epic guys, when the first two people died i was like “Wow epic fail” 30 seconds later im like “OMFG THEY GOT DIS SHIT” If only juggy could have gotten the heal on Ghost sooner…
