to the guy above, as a tank, go mine/ bs- you get epic shield/armor. if u want to u can go engineer, but you really only get the mount and head.( pally cant use guns.)

I once had engineering in max level, but started with enchanting instead.

Now you can earn lots of gold from the guns and stuff, while an enchanter only gets like 2 gold per enchant (cheap bastards)…

You can dismiss the understudy by rightclicking the “pet” portrait and selecting Dismiss.

If you didn’t know how to forcefully dismiss the understudy then how the heck were you tanking the boss with him? Understudy dismissal and recapturing is kinda essential for this fight, it’s a shame that you guys didn’t go into it.

Imagine this - your time runs out on your understudy WHILE you are tanking the boss, and the other understudy doesn’t have his taunt up. For the next few seconds the boss is loose and will start one or two shotting raid members. By the time you reacquire your understudy half the raid is already dead.

Here’s how you actually need to play this fight.

Use your bone shield and tank the boss for one phase, then once your bone shield is almost up just let the other tank know to “take him”. The other tank will use his bone shield and then taunt the boss and hold him for his phase. When his bone shield is almost up he will tell you to take him back.

After your second tanking phase when the other understudy has him you need to release your understudy and reacquire, making sure that you are in place and ready for your next two tanking phases.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Again kudos for your hard work (not the actual Naxx run cause it’s total easy mode for your all, but the video production). I saw the title for this on the main page “Project Lore team fights Instructor Razuvious” and was disappointed cause it should say “Project Lore team SCHOOLS Instructor Razuvious”

@Walls If you properly time when both tanks start the MC, then you will never need to manually dismiss. We find about a 15 second gap between the first MC and the second make the rest of the fight line up perfectly.

Just make sure you get back in as soon as the timer is up. This is why it was not an issue for us in this vide, and none of our DPS got hit.

Now on 25 man… you need to release as there is a chance a priest MC can break.

Yes, but if something goes wrong with your timing then it’s pretty much a wipe. It’s best for tanks to know how to properly dismiss and resummon their understudies. To go in with tanks who don’t know how to do that is downright foolhardy, and your raid will not thank you for it.

The point of these videos is to make people play smart, and PL isn’t doing that by leaving out critical fight information.

When your doing the fights with the Understudies.. once the boss is down & you have both of them left, you can Dismiss them by Right-clicking on their picture. It’s alot faster, instead of having to wait for you to lose control

Just an idea, but what do you guys think of a new section where you teach new dps about the most effective rotations of differnet classes. I already know my rotation but i know that it would be helpful for peeps who dont. Also i am curius to see other classes rotations.
