meh buy a bigger gun and better ammo, saves time running half way to Exodar to kite/kill one mob at a time.

For spells like wingclip to work your gonna need to skill up with melee weapons or it will be dodged, parried or miss constantly.

I have to say, jump shot can make my head spin, which usually happens in PVP, so I tend to put that in minimum use and rely on my tank-rilla

These videos have made me appreciate Hunters even more. I stopped playing mine at low level because I wasn’t very good. But these videos have been very informative and now I’m leveling my hunter alt even more now.

yet another great vid, each week i level up my new hunter alt using BRK hunter guide, it’s made me appreciate the hunter class and made it very enjoyable to play. BRK ftw!

i dont under stand jump shot how do i do it?
i turn the camera 180degrees then what?
i jump and it goes back to normal

Meh wing clip is a PvP skill…once you get your pet you will be set while leveling BUT its always good to have your weapon skills maxed out just in case you DO need Wing Clip…i learned my lesson when i kept having it dodged and parried while i was in a BG…fortunately my chimaera is my Wing clip now XD

“The mob has to go around the tree….” Nope, things don’t always go the way you want them to go, but honestly, these are the things that make me ROFL.

RMB = Right Mouse Button
1. Walk -> Hold down RMB -> Move mouse left/right (until you’ve turned all the way around)
2. Walk -> Hold down RMB -> JUMP! -> Move mouse left/right
3. Walk -> Hold down RMB -> JUMP! -> Move mouse left/right -> SHOOT!
4. Walk -> Hold down RMB -> JUMP! -> Move mouse left/right -> SHOOT! -> Move mouse left/right

Practice each of these steps and you will eventually find yourself jump-shooting.

TYVM for this informative series! I have been playing hunters since I first started playing WOW (although they have never been my main) and I did know better than “hitting things with my little axe” lol but even so, you have shown me a new technique or two along the way! Anyone with a hunter should watch this series, wether they think they know how to play or not! Will be very interested in seeing what methods you use once you get your pet! Also please show us how you think multiple pulls are best handled (most of the time, well past level 10 anyway - quest mobs aren’t solo).

@Skye -Well, you don’t need to go a full 180 degrees, just 91 degrees at minimal so that you are “facing the enemy”.

The reason for jumping, which BRK hasn’t explained, I don’t think, is to maintain momentum. When you Jump, you continue on an arc in the direction you were going right before you jumped.

This allows you to turn around while in the air, get an instant shot off, and then turn back around to the direction you want to go before landing, and you will have moved the same distance as if you just ran forward on foot in the same direction.

I prefer to do the strafing myself (as you see BRK doing in most of his movies), as it’s a bit easier.

@BRK - While these guides are great, it’s really not that hard to beat down a level 6 npc at level 8, even as a petless hunter. Why not show us the real benefits and fight something that you couldn’t possibly beat without a pet or kiting. There’s two Elite Yeti’s in the Dun Morogh. Well, at least they were elites when I went through it, that’s probably changed. They were level 11. Old Icebeard or Vagash, I’d like to see you successfully kite one of these as a petless Hunter. Especially at level 8 or 9.

Okay, just checked Wowhead, Vagash is no longer elite, but Icebeard is (with 666 health to boot!) So, if you can get Vagash without a pet, that’s decent. If you can get Old Icebeard, that’s epic.

@ Blight the whole point of these is to demonstrate the moves and reasons behind them at a level that is easy to practice for someone just leveling.

At least that’s what I got from it. *shrug* I’m sure as things progress he’ll show us how this unfolds against harder mobs.

Thank you so much, i have played my brothers hunter for a level and i got real mad at the melee attack damage being so terrible. you guys should do these for all the classes, maybe you can prevent noobs from taking over the game
