Treachery on Vent: Infiltrating Enemy Tactics

A couple nights ago, I was running Wintergrasp on my server, Khaz Modan, and lamenting the fact that all day the Horde had been unsuccessful at capturing the contested zone. Finally in one raid group, someone offered up their ventrilo server for everyone to use so we could better coordinate our efforts. It sounded like a ... I’ve been playing my priest a lot more often these days. No matter which spec she’s in, I use far more keys, far more frequently, than on my rogue. Solidsamm doesn’t go much farther than 6 on the keyboard, with ctrl+1-6 and Q and E joining the fun during certain situations. Sagart , either in ... MoreThe Back-and-Forth Saga of a 3.3 Vanish Fix

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, rogues have got to be sneaky. It’s a good part of what defines the class, allows them, as leather-wearers, to deal melee dps without instant death, and sets them apart from other DPSers. So it’s no huge surprise that Vanish, one of the key skills that rounds out that specialty, ... MoreThe Hodir Dailies Need More Sexual Innuendo

I had been putting off starting on the Hodir quests for several weeks in favor of working toward becoming an exalted champion with all my Horde factions, but soon realized that was a mistake. To up my raiding game, I really need those shoulder enchants that come with exalted status with the Sons of Hodir! ... More3.3: Haste May Soon Affect HoTs, DoTs

Haste can sometimes be a hard stat to measure. Not being the mathematics whiz that some of my fellow WoW players are, I honestly couldn’t tell you the difference between a spell that takes 2 seconds cast and another that takes only 1.9. Sure, I can generally assume that the latter will lead to more ... MoreWishful Thinking: Boss Mob Rotation For 5-Man Flavor

Wishful Thinking is a column for the theorycrafting behind World of Warcraft. No, not the number crunching madness perfected by the folks at ElitistJerks, but the features, abilities, and design ideas that the Project Lore writers conjure from their squishy pink stuff. I love WoW’s PvE content, but there’s no denying that it can get boring. ... MoreGuide To Fixing Your World of Warcraft Installation

Ever since Onyxia realized she could regrow her head I’ve had issues with World of Warcraft. I have no idea if it’s patch 3.2.2 specifically, but that is when the problem became obvious. Patch 3.2.2a, which was supposed to fix bugs created with 3.2.2, did nothing for me. My more-than-capable computer continues to hit awful ... MoreLeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!!! 15k DPS?!!

After another drunken night of slaughtering Coren Direbrew repeatedly for his phat lootz and Brewfest tokenz, I thought it was time for something a little different. Up in the higher reaches of Blackrock Mountain rests more fun to be had (and a bit of a confidence boost for us rogues) for anyone who hasn’t yet ... The closing of International Talk Like a Pirate Day ushered in another of WoW’s seasonal events, the much loved Brewfest. Ahh Brewfest. Who could dislike two-week long celebration based upon the ancient Dwarven tradition of drinking? No one, that’s who. Not even the Elementals, Old Gods or Titans could turn away a good brew, tall ...
