WoWFlix Vault is a column featuring videos you may have missed from around the web related to World of Warcraft. If you find something you’d like to be featured, leave a comment or send a tweet to @Heartbourne.
I don’t know how I missed this last year, but it is fantastic.
This video tells the story of a player investigating the town of Darrowshire in Eastern Plaguelands and redeeming Joseph Redpath. In case you are unfamiliar with the questline, players find the ghost of a little girl named Pamela Redpath. She asks players to restore her doll and find out what happened to her family. Pamela and all of the Redpath family, save for her sister Jessica, were killed at the Battle of Darrowshire during the Third War. The spirit of their father, Joseph Redpath, was corrupted after his death by Horgus. Players work with the yellow dragon Chromie to rewrite the history of Darrowshire to ensure that after Joseph Redpath was corrupted and joined the ranks of the Scourge, he met a swift end. By changing this outcome of the Battle of Darrowshire, the spirits of Darrowshire are finally laid to rest.
Its so satisfying to see a video with well done original music. This is one of the few original WoW-related songs that isn’t a parody or comical; its very sober and very moving. I bought the track on iTunes, and I suggest you check out Cranius’ blog for more information about him, this video, and his other work.

I consider this, arguably, THE single best WoW video out there. I’ve even had it mentioned in the librarians’ professional journal, Library Journal in the column on games and gaming.

That video really hit home in a way. i know a family that has been torn apart from war. and this story is about the same thing. Ive done the questline for Darrowshire and it was a tough questline, not in the sense of the quests being difficult. But in the fact what the manner of the story was. This was a very good movie, and most of the movies that i have seen featured here have been great.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best wow videos to date. the animation was great, the song was funny yet told the story perfectly, and it was fairly sad. this was an amazing piece of WoW lore that gets over looked by many, and the video basically sums up and portrays the story without all the questing in between.

All Cranius’ stuff is good. I first came across his work in “Big Blue Dress” - very funny song about threads that wizards are forced to wear (very old so looks dated).
My favourite is the Winter’s Veil song (name escapes me at the moment), but it should be on http://www.cranius.com

Wow, this video is GREAT. Really great atmosphere to which the music contributes a lot. I was skeptical at first as most music in WoW-movies just makes me turn off the volume asap, but this is a welcome exception. Compliments to the producers and thanks for bringing this to our attention!
