Tier 8 Gear Preview From MMO-Champion

One of my favorite things about picking up a new piece of loot, or even just seeing a piece linked, is trying it on in the dressing room by Ctrl+clicking it and seeing how cool it looks. While we’ve heard a few details about the next major content patch and the raid that will be included in it, Ulduar, we haven’t seen any phat lewtz that are going to be added.

Well, the folks over at one of my favorite WoW sites, MMO-Champion.com, have put together a six minute video that shows off models that are wearing what is presumably Tier 8 pieces for Death Knights , Hunters (starts at 0:53), Rogues (1:35), Mages (2:40), Warlocks (3:45), and Priests (4:50). Unfortunately, there is no set implemented for any of the other classes (including the best class, Shaman), but I have to say the priest set looks pretty sweet and that rogue set is very creepy.     Hmm,I’ve already seen those sets before,but not on MMO-Champion,but on a YouTube vid who alleged that they were T7.They predicted the wrong tier,but the right skin

    The Hunter gear looks cool :-) the Rouge gear looks so badass, I cant wait to get this gear for my Hunter and DK.

    WTB shaman, warrior, and paladin tier 8 :) the rest looked sweet.. though the warlock sets are getting too complicated after my opinion

    i remember seeing an NPC wearing the warlock set.. cant wait to pick up the first piece of it :) looks prober evil/misunderstood ;)

    This will be my course of action the first time I see a rogue with that helm shown..

    The video should have shown at least one of the rogues stealthed since it would orient that upturned clown face more forward… I can only guess at the motivation which would push them to accept that design.

    Dammit i want warrior im looking forward to the evil hunter look and my awesome lock gear but WTF is my baby tankz gear! Make it soon blizzard! by the way the vid was kinda lame to many chicks in it i dont even have a girl char besides they never showed a dranei male too…

    I agree that the Priest set looks awesome (although I don’t see the point of a Priest covering their nose and mouth), but the other sets look like they:

    A) Belong to the wrong class (the rogue helm would make more sense on a warlock)

    or

    B) Are completely overdone, and they would look better if the developers just toned it down a notch. They don’t have to have all the extra stuff added to look cool. The Judgement Armor set (Paladin Tier 2) was relatively simple compared to raiding sets now, but still is the best looking set in the game in my opinion.

    And while I’m on the subject, how is a Rogue supposed to blend in to the shadows when they have a giant skull on their heads, a vampire style cloak that comes up to be level with the top of their head, little trails of light shooting off in every direction, and giant claws reaching out to rip up whatever happens to be in front of them. That made me thing of goblin shredders or harvest golems, not a Rogue trying to sneak up behind someone.

    I found most of the sets to look pretty damn ok. The mage set is eh ok, only set i really loved were priest and lock. The rogue set is pretty hilarious, i really hope those eyes glow real bright for me to see em in stealth :D

    They all look great I guess, but Hunter and Dk t8 look best IMO.

    I wonder why type of badges would be required to by T8 gear, or if they’re going to do it like they did T7 and t7.5

    Different colors are probably different tier levels (8 for 10-man content, 8.5 for 25-man) and possibly PvP? I hope not, since having all 3 look identical except for the coloring would be kinda lame.

    Also, I really hope the rogue “scythe” animation thing is attached to the helm and not the shoulders. I wanna be able to turn it off >.<

    Orcs have the biggest shoulder armor, as always (that orc warlok had uber shoulders))))

    Blizzard coppied off of NPCs from Wrath of the Lich King like the DK set is Darion Mograine, The mage set is from a Mage in dalaran in Violet Citadel, and the lock set from the undead guy from the quest where you have to go into Undercity……
    anyways they all lok sweet and cant wait for them

    HATED the warlock set at first, but now its just meh.

    Still think its way too much. Looks like something a skettis should be wearing IMO.

    Rogue, dont even get me started. Lets just say if I had an 80 rogue, show helm in interface options would be UNchecked.

    i doubt that the different colors is for different specs cos there were 4 hunter colors and there is onely 1 set needed gues its just because blizz has’nt chosen a color (no other idea why)

    all the head pieces on T8 are completely puke butt ugly !!!! especially the rogues. Mind you, I have found this to be the case with all the Tier sets excapt T1 and T2. Since then I play in “hide helm” mode because they are just too hideous. Come-on, the rest of the kit is awesome, make a descent effort on the head peices instead of turning the toons into pseudo Alien vs Predator leftovers ………
