Oh, Wrath of the Lich King, how we await your arrival. Come Wednesday night, I will be camping my local EBGames for my copy of Wrath, only to receive my Collector’s Edition in the mail the following day or so. Yes, I am that excited for Northrend.
It appears I am not the only one, for the Lich King kicked off another world event last night. As of press time, the event isn’t nearly as large as the infamous “Zombiefication of the Azerothian Nation,” but it is still new and exciting. WoWInsider had ongoing coverage of the event while it unfolded, and confirmed that it repeated every 20 minutes or so. Players will have to travel to Stormwind or Orgrimmar, to see the story unfold. Once again, the two factions are not created equal, as the Horde get to see Warchief Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream – Son of Grom – duke it out in the Ring of Honor.
The attack on these main cities is strike two against Arthas and his better half. The event doesn’t particularly lead one to believe that the factions will turn and head straight for Northrend, so there may be more to the proceedings. Reports indicate that the attack was still repeating before maintenance, so if you missed it, you may be able to catch a repeat later today. I for one, hope that Arthas tries something more dastardly, causing the combined forces of the Horde and Alliance to head to Northrend, each seeking their own revenge.
What do you lore nuts think the outcome from the attacks could be? I predict that Garrosh will leave Thrall’s side and head to Northrend. Possibly without Thrall’s consent or perhaps to banish him from Orgrimmar for kicking his ass (Spoiler: We already know he is a Warchief in Northrend, but not under what circumstances). Bolvar Fordragon is probably bored with playing politics, and with King Varian Wrynn’s return, he will return to the battlefield. I am incredibly excited for WotLK’s lore!

I participated in the event last night for about 5 rounds. You get about +4 rep with argent dawn per kill, and good luck if you are melee trying to take down a wyrm. It kind of ticks me off to hear about Thrall and Grom’s fruit of his loins duking it out, but if you watch our king, he one shots pretty much whatever he’s swinging at. Bamf.

I Am so exited so i am going to lvl both my lvl 70 paladin
to 80 and a DK to 80 at the same time first , i go to Borean tundra then i go lvl 71 then my DK to 58 so i can
follow the DK story on my own instead of jost looking
at Zand

He sends Garrosh to the Warsong Hold in the Howling Fjord as the Overlord of the Kor’kron elite, with High Overlord Varok(yes my name and my dk’s name
The Kor’kron Elite are Thrall’s(or Go’el, Thrall’s real name) personal bodyguard, they were sent to Shadowmoon Valley in TBC, now they’re sent to Northrend.

So true. Im lucky if my poor rogue goes through 2 or 3 of them before I get curbstomped by at least 6 or 7 at once.

i will probably create a death knight but i wont play him right away. ill probably wait like the first month or two before i play him. cause it will be so hard to quest with a death knight, when there are going to be so many doing the same quest. and the lags in the realms are going to be so bad that you wont be able to quest very much because of it. so im just going to wait.

Well rather then saying “I am going to level my (inster hunter, mage, pali, dk here) first” I am going to say…
I am going to roll a DK, play through the DK intro quests and a few hellfire ones, and then deside which character I want up first from their.
From what I have played on my 4 70’s (yes I have 2 palis, one was a second 70 on a server and one is fairly new so that I would have 3 70s on 3 different servers since their are 3DK specs I want to try and not global unlock at first.) I am feeling my retro first (even after nerfs) hunter second, tankadin 3rd and mage last of my existing characters, and untill I try a DK to see IF I like it or notI can’t really put in in its place of which to do first.
