The PTR datafiles have once again been mined in order to give us a preview of what the newest Arena season has to offer. MMO-Champion has posted screenshots of the latest armor sets available to the top Arena competitors next season, and I have to say, most of it is pretty good looking. In fact, I have no issues with any of the sets except one. The Shaman set has to be one of the ugliest sets I’ve ever seen. My only hope is that there are some changes coming up for the colors, at the very least.
It could be that I am just overly critical of Blizzard’s decisions that affect my class, but in my opinion every other class has a nice evolution from the Season 5 and 6 sets with decent looking gear that generally fits the overall feel of the class. I can’t say the same about the Shaman set. Blizzard’s design philosophy behind arena gear in Wrath of the Lich has been less flashy gear that has been made by the top crafters that gets better as the seasons progress. While the shaman set certainly didn’t start out pretty, it seems to be getting worse.
Take a look at all of the sets over on MMO-Champion, I’d love to hear if other players (shaman and non-shaman alike) think I’m just being too particular about gear that I probably will never get - especially the helmet and shoulders.

Yeah Juggy man, i feel your pain, the shaman set, isn’t the best to look at, .but Juggy, the paladin armor set for the next season, and also the next tier of gear sucks beyond the shaman ones. Blood Elf especially. Warlocks win this season for sure.

I think it was designed by a color blind landscape artist.
They have done absolutely no design work on the majority of the exposed red area.
I am sure this is some early model, still being worked on, nobody in their right mind would send that out.
Shamans have always had cool sets, but this is the first I would rather not have.
The Mage set looks better and more like Mail Armor than this does, except for the weird shoulder alignment thing.
We will not be winning any style awards.
Shamans need some PVP love! We work so hard and get mushed and when we get enough points, they humiliate us like this.

I only have one main toon, but once I dinged 80 I expected to look pretty damn cool. I got to Northrend, and everything looked the same. Dark, boring, and not a glowy or sparkly bit to be seen. Bought some upgrades, and still everything looked markedly dull. Finally got around to getting the the shaman Hateful pvp set and not only was it ugly, but I’m now wearing a dress as a melee shaman in pvp gear? If I wanted a stupid dress I would have been a caster. Where’s my pants?!
This new one is just weird. Why isn’t the red blue or white? Or why not make the crystals orange to match the red? I’ll not see them any time soon, or ever, but I’m underwhelmed.

i dont know hwat everyne is complaining about i love all teh sets though the priest tier does look a bit weak my favorite the paly set *sigh* wish i had a paly i am not loving the mage dis alighment the gnome set looks the shoulders are on thier hands instead thier shoulders the DK shoulders are small compared to the others makes them look kind of weak those shoulders belong on a rogue and i dont know what everyone is complaining about i like the shaman set ill hold of the judgement untill i ee teh stats

*tear* FINALLY… blizzard had pummped out something decent for all those ppl like me that are PVP>PVE. Even the shamman set is better then the previous pvp sets in warth that they have been dishing out. Some of my dislikes are: the floating mage shoulder, its cool but i just cant see just standing in org with one sholder peice floating off, dont like the 2 floating peices over the head even, they look like rabbit ears. The paladin set is OK, like i said, better than the other pvp gear in wrath, i prefer that type over the coilf they have had. The death knight shoulders look smaller than they should be, the hunters better, but i dont really like the helm again. They should make the rouge set more dark and sinister than that orange, red, white they have going on. Warlock is PERFECT. And last but not least the warrior, nonononononono… its wayyyyy to big, nuff said. All in all, they have finally came out with something good, imo the pvp sets in TBC were perfect for every class. Now what was that like 1 dollar worth, insteaed of just 2c

I like the sets for the most part. I hate the Shaman set and the hat for the rogue is just another reason for me to never turn the option to see my hat back on. Warlocks sets look awesome but really did you expect anything different? I love the Paladin set tho. It makes them look like literal tanks (which would be weird for non-tanking paladins).
The only hope I could see is if they had 3 different coloring schemes t o this armor like the way the current pvp gear has and this is just the superior set you’re able to buy with badges of conquest.

Wow stop complaining about the Shaman set. Compare it to Season 5 and it looks 5x better. What’s wrong with shing silver-aqua , crimson red and gold trims? It only looks bad on Draenei girls, and that doesn’t matter cuz alliance shamans suck… All the PvP sets have been improved so stop whining and be happy. Damn even I am a shaman and yet I’m fine with this new set. And yeah, I’m enhancement, and I still fucking own…FOR THE HORDE

the other sets arent that good either, warriors and mages got the best definately but the other classes are going to be suffering visually, i mean at least you could keep some guidelines that relate the gear to the class somewhat…

anyone knows if they bring weapon to battleground pvp? i hate arena and i want new weapons.. btw im solo players and work all day and play in the night so i cant even join a guild.. i want imba weapon…. i have an idea, bliz can make a weapon that cost 100 token on each faction (wsg+ab+av+..) + 75k honor.. thus only the strong players will get it, and it will take much more time then runniong with some randoms to ulduar, which i cant do anyway.
