Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday of the year. To be entirely honest, I don’t really know why though. I just always remember having fun on October 31st, throughout my life. Let’s just chalk it up to my insatiable sweet tooth. Fruity candy, chocolate, hard candy, taffy, I eat, neigh, devour it all like it’s my last supper. Heck, I even ate the apples the nutritionist up the street used to give us.
With Halloween so well translated in to Azeroth by way of Hallow’s End, you better believe it has remained my favorite seasonal event (whenever it was up-to-date). Blizzard delivers us a horde of candy, complete with funny names, buffs, tricks, apple bobbing, and the token (updated) special boss mob.
Candy Buckets: It’s time to rot your teeth and fill your pockets. Hit up all of the following locations to score a bag of treats and almost seven gold per location. The gold really adds up.
- Eastern Kingdoms: Alliance/Horde
- Kalimdor: Alliance/Horde
- Outland: Alliance/Horde
- Northrend: Alliance/Horde (forum link)
*NOTE* There’s currently a bug for the Northrend buckets that may disable buckets from the rest of the world. If you are attempting to complete all the achievements for the “The Hallowed” title, then hit up the bucket in the Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimodor and Outland first.
Quests: There remains a lot of quests for Hallow’s End, but none of the them are new. In fact, nothing seems to have been added to the achievement list since The Burning Crusade. Not even the (broken) Northrend buckets.
WoWWiki contains a good synopsis of the quests from year’s gone by. If I come across anything new, I’ll be sure to update the post.
The Headless Horseman: He’s back and more level 80 than ever! You’ll need to grab The Headless Horseman, which leads you to the Scarlet Monastery graveyard, and Call the Headless Horseman. After dispatching him via that quest, it’ll turn in to a daily quest. With a pet, a temporary mount and his rare mount all available, having the daily quest available will become another hot commodity. And of course there is his updated loot table.
I wonder how that lie detector is coming…
I’d like to point out how awesome The Headless Horseman’s story was in Warcraft: Legends Volume 5. If you haven’t checked it out I highly recommend doing so.
There really isn’t anything new in Hallow’s End this year, which is disappointing, but my girlfriend was intrigued by Blizzard’s in-game versions of IRL events. Her account is still active, could something come of this?! No, no it won’t.
Who’s off to get a new title? Who’s already received it? Me, well, I am just going to do what I always do during Halloween, sugar rush.

The horseman’s mount along with the Fiery Warhorse from karazhan and Rivendare’s Deathcharger, are the 3 mounts I have been wanting to get the most. I can’t wait until I get more time for my account so I can actually participate in horseman farming, which I couldn’t do last year due to not being high enough level.

That mount is the sweetest looking thing in the game… you know, aside from Ashbringer. I want it.

Not the sweetest… the sweetest is the purple Protodrake. My main just needs the Sinister Squashling to get it. Sooo… I’m sacrificing virgins at the altar of RNG… again

I actually got the Title in less than 24 hours. Was pretty lucky though, I got the companion pet from an Innkeeper and already had the mask, so the hardest achievement was done.
The rest are pretty easy, and they are extremely fun as well.
I don’t know what would I prefer though… No mount drop, or mount drop but losing the roll. Ouch.

I don’t know if it’s new or not, or if it’s part of the Hallow’s End festivities, but I was turned into a sheep the other day. Then I was sent a special wand called The Troublemaker. It allowed me to turn someone else into a sheep as well.

That wand you got it was probably in Dalaran. It has nothing to do with Hallow’s End got it about a month ago while fishing in the sewers for the rat. And recieved it the next day via mail.
I hate the RNG for the pet and helm. I need them both for my title and havent even seen them once on my main. My lvl 28 alt mage got the pet the first time he trick or treated it almost made me want to delete him lol. They should make the pet BoA would make it a little easier to get it.
