Dorkin’s Secret Weapon…shhhhhhh

When you absolutely, positively, unequivocally have to kick huge monster ass, then there is no substitute for the “I WIN” macro. Each class can create their own version of this tasty little treat, but I will show you a version that I use specifically as a Beast Master hunter.

First create a macro, choose a name (I WIN) or (Kick Ass) or (You Die), then a button graphic. Then in the command line, copy and paste or just type the following:

/use 13
/cast Bestial Wrath
/cast Intimidation
/cast Rapid Fire
/petattack

The first line relates to your trinkets, “13″ is the command for your first trinket slot. So make sure your usable trinket is in this slot (second from the bottom on the right of your character pane), examples of trinkets suited for this are Bladefist’s Breadth, Bloodlust Brooch, Berserker’s Call, or any other badass USEable trinket you have. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Now put this (I WIN) button anywhere on your action bar and ONLY click it if you are positive you can handle kicking more ass than you have ever kicked.

Oh and have feign death ready, you will probably pull some serious aggro

“Click” YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

    “YEAAAHHHHHHHH”

More fuel for why ppl call us huntards but my #1 macro is the spamable 1:1 Shot Rotation with use trickets and Kill command. I just spam away with 111111elevent-one111111one. BW, Int, and RF are all close buttons to the 1.

and then make a macro for after you kick all that ass that says

    /dance
/e does the “i just beat you down mother F*****” dance

    it will show up as

    starts to dance
does the “i just beat you down mother F*****” dance

also if you want to get the cooldown right put your longest cooldown first i.e. rapid attack (5mins) would go before your trinket

By Henk on Thursday, July 24th, 2008 at 3:48 pm

    My 2 suggestions:

Don’t use ‘/use 13′ in the macro, but instead use ‘/use Bloodlust Brooch’ or whatever your trinket is. This has the advantage that you don’t have to have it in that slot specifically. However if you change trinkets a lot ‘/use 13′ is maybe better, but I don’t personally.

Second if you have a lot of threat already and think the ass-kicking is going to over aggro the tank, use feign death BEFORE using the I WIN button. This way you will have 0 threat and can kick any ass you want without worrying about threat. =D

“I WIN” buttons FTW! I’m a Holy Paladin on the Ravencrest Server, aka. Ravenfail! But that’s another story. My “I WIN” button looks a little like this:

    /use Ribbon of Sacrifice
    /use Essence of Martyr
    /cast Divine Illumination

then i just spam uber healz! haha! Then depending on how much threat my tank has built up it might be followed with the “Oh Sh*t” button! /cast Divine Shield Everyone need an “Oh Sh*t” button to balance out that the “I WIN” button!

very nice macro, you may want to incorporate a cast hunters mark in there also, I use two macros to do this, one for hunters mark Improved that is with a pet attack and auto shot other is trinket beastial wrath intimidate and rapid fire, i use these macros as burndown in PvP arena matches

By Crakrjakr on Thursday, July 24th, 2008 at 10:58 pm

    I WIN Macro = /cast Moonfire.

    Self explanatory.

By Worldtree on Friday, July 25th, 2008 at 2:34 pm

There are quite a few hunter macros out there, actually. I’d have to ask my guild’s hunter, but his macro is probably a variation on the basic auto shot/steady shot macros:

    #showtooltip Auto Shot
    /cast !Auto Shot
    /cast [target=pettarget, exists] Kill command
    /cast Steady Shot
    /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

I nabbed this right off the WoWWiki hunter macros page, and claims to prevent clipping steady shot into auto shot to make sure it fires off when it’s supposed to.

    My own “PWNASS” macro:

    /use Bladefist’s Breadth
    /use Blood Fury
    /cast Aimed Shot

Then just spamming Steady shots, works everytime.

    Horde FTW!

i dont believe in macros, i feel it makes it to easy, to sit there and press 1 button over and over and… over again. but i do have an “i win” move, pop my beast within, rapid fire, drums of battle, and if i really wanna win, haste pot

By lAalexXl on Monday, July 28th, 2008 at 11:57 am

Omg i get aggro all the time when im using the Macro.
Good the hunter can feign death.. :) ty for the Macro

By Braveheartkiwi on Monday, July 28th, 2008 at 5:28 pm

I don’t usually use macros but your macro actually looks decent and would save a few seconds of clicking buttons.

I will give it a try.

You said in episode two that you are using Macros now is this the only one you use? If you have one for Arrow attacks I would REALLY like to know what you use. Could you do a blog about any attack macros you have for arrows? It would really make my day. If my comp didn’t suck so freaking bad I would love to get our addons that you suggested BTW but as it is i can’t even have my questhelper T_T

One more suggestion for an added bonus—before you pop all your Cooldowns, do /target ____ (tank, will have to be changed for each group, unless you do this part manually), /cast misdirection, /target ____ (the mob/boss you are fighting). Now use I WIN macro.

If you Feign Death beforehand, as it was mentioned, to not pull aggro, this will help a lot, cuz your next 3 big hits while under the effects of I WIN will give threat to the tank. (or nearest clothie, if you wanna have some fun.)

    enjoy.

By Traanzz of Hellscream on Thursday, August 7th, 2008 at 1:46 am

    A variation of Midgetboom’s macro.

    #showtooltip
    /target [group]
    /target [nogroup]
    /cast Misdirection
    /targetlasttarget

Target the boss/mob and just click it to Misdirect the tank if youre in a group and your pet if not. You only have to change this macro once each instance instead of changing each time you meet a boss/mob you want to Misdirect.

By HardCor on Monday, February 2nd, 2009 at 2:55 pm

The 3rd command, Intimidation doesnt make any sense. That should be Kill Command imo. Against bosses Intimidation will only get you aggro. If ur solo and over lvl 70, you just MD to get the agro, Intimidation is more like an ‘OH SHIT’ button if ur pet looses aggro, again in my humble opinion.

I have two macro’s going, one for
    Huntersmark/Petattack/Bestial Wrath/Kill Command

    and one for
    Rapid Fire/use 14(trinket)/Assist Pet/Serpent Sting

I call them Kill One and Kill Two. Throw in a few Arcane Shots and for pvp a Concussion Shot to slow them down, and ur laughing. And when that all is going, spam that Steady Shot…
