Blizzard Releases New Ulduar Video

There’s a new Ulduar preview video, and unlike last time, it’s straight from Blizzard. I’ve embedded it here in HD, but you can also download it in various formats and watch it on Blizzard’s site, if you want. Now, this trailer may include some spoilers for those of you who are averse to finding out anything about  Ulduar, but I couldn’t help but watch it through a few times.

From what the preview shows, the new raid being added in Patch 3.1 looks to be much more diverse than what I had originally thought it might look like. The few mobs that are shown look spectacular, as do many of the rooms that look to be where boss fights will take place. There’s a small hint about the controversial vehicular combat included, but still not a ton of details about what will be encountered.

What are your thoughts? Are you avoiding all hints of what’s inside or can you not get enough info?

Not the kind of trailer I was expecting, but it gives a nice overview of Ulduar.

I can’t get enough info lol, I want to know allllll about Hodir, Freya, Yogg-saron, that Gnome head mount (lawl.)

later parts of the video remind me of gnomergan.

this is where we find out that gnomes and dwarfs came from the same path, but the gnomes were gheys with pink hair, so the titans made them smaller.

    LOOKS INCREDIBLE!

By Laeltis on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 3:29 pm

I 100% can’t wait for it. Granted I’m probably not geared though :(. I’m totally going to be taking a screenshot at everychance, the visuals are just EPIC. The bosses look cool too. This is Blizz’s way to reward the Lore nuts. In other words, me :P

    Thanks Juggy

and keep up the good work PL

By Pauldy on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 3:29 pm

Was anyone else struck by the similarities between the leaks content and this content. Almost like the same people decided what should go into each.

By Frozencore on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 4:16 pm

Man this is going to be one of the most beautiful things blizzard has done. congrats cant wait till it comes out

This looks to be my new favourite dungeon/raid. :O
It just looks beautiful. Intriguing too.

And kinda reminds me of Ratchet & Clank. :P

Blizzard has designed some beautiful and Epic looking instances since WoW’s release but I think I can say this looks like their best work, the design just looks so beautiful and diverse and the sheere size of the thing they are showing us is Epic.

Can’t wait to see this instance and find out why we are fighint Hodir, Thorim, and Freya I mean I thought they were on our side?

    Idk, surely will be interesting!

You guys with the 3D nvidia gonna get epileptic seizures :D
That is 1 awesome dungeon. Imagine guys, if in 3.1.0 you’re already going up against the Titans, sooner rather than later, you’ll be barging through a portal and storm Argus (burning legion planet) and fight Sargeras himself.

By Voldenmist on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 10:29 pm

Is it just me, or does that last room they showed look alot like on of the mako Factories from Final Fantasy 7?

By FritzTheCat on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 12:39 am

There’s something very FF7 Midgar-ish about the music playing coupled with the magical-mechanical feel of Ulduar’s graphics… Love it :)

By penrose on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 9:30 am

I have the levels (finally) now I just need the gear. LOL. First get the gear to be able to do the heroics. Then get the gear in the Heroics to do Naxx. Then get the gear in Naxx to do Ulduar.

    I am so excited.

Oh, and on the way I also need to make back all of the money I used for alts so I can buy swift flight form. Blerg.

By Prower on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 12:34 pm

Kinda cool, only thing im wondering is did blizzard leave the levetian out coz its so awsome it will blind people, or did they only show one tank perfrom an effect we have already seen in WG because the 1st half is a major let down?

Sigh* to be pesamistic but after the ammo anouncements I reckon i’m justified!

By Alayea on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 1:43 pm

The video is pretty cool. I’m gonna have to get into Naxx 10/25 like crazy if I’m going to get to go to an Ulduar raid.

There’s trains in Team Fortress 2

By Gullsnikk on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 3:32 am

    OH MY LORD.

I always loved the Titan areas, the colours and shapes are so beautiful, and Ulduar looks to be the best yet!

By Nikolay on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 5:55 am

This raid is going to be cool!!!

By Yvrael on Friday, March 6th, 2009 at 6:01 pm

this cant come fast enough lol, my guild is running out of things to do, we’ve taken to running dks through all the low level instances and raids to get their achievments. just four manned blackwing lair ( ^_^) ulduar will be so refreshing, and it looks so cool. one of the reasons i love HoL and HoS is because it hasnt been done in WoW yet. Naxx is old school and even though malygos and sarth are AWESOME, we’ve done dragons. TITANS PRISONERS though……thats just epic! and the graphics! im glad i just revamped my cpu, lol
    thnx for the preview juggy
