Bastosa, like all his other Draenei brethren, took his first steps onto Kalimdor after pulling himself from the wreckage of the crashed Exodar. Unlike his fellow exiled ones, however, he decided he rather liked the hit on the head he took as his ship collided with Azuremyst Isle, and now spends his days looking for something hard-hitting enough to replicate the experience. Bastosa is a student of the light, but never took an interest in standing in the back and casting heals like other Paladins. Instead he focused his efforts to become a master of protection in order to become the toughest Tankadin to set foot in Azeroth. You can find Bastosa trolling around with 24 of his best friends looking for the biggest baddies he can shake his mace at, hoping one of them will knock some sense into him.
How Long Until Algalon Goes Down?

Despite the fact that Ulduar is much more difficult that the previous tier of content, there are many guilds that are tearing through it! I mentioned in my last post that Ensidia had downed Yogg-Saron and since then many more have followed. While Yogg is technically the last boss in Ulduar, there is one more ... Yes, I know it’s popular for everyone to want to get easy loot off of easy bosses, but not everyone feels that way. I personally love a challenge, and I know I am far from alone. It is for this reason that Naxx was somewhat disappointing to me, I know it was their plan to make ... MoreUlduar To-Do List!

So in case you have been living under a rock, Ulduar is here! It is finally time to do and experience everything we have been reading about and looking forward to for the last several months! It is an exciting time to say the least. I know I had developed quite a shopping list of things ... MoreWhat’s In A Name?

For me the most difficult part of World of Warcraft isn’t raiding, it’s not going after extreme achievements, and its not even struggling in the arenas. For me the most challenging thing to do well in WoW is successfully filling out the little box at the bottom of the character creation screen. You know, the ... MoreMaking Your Own Achievements

The moment that achievements were announced I knew it would quickly become one of my favorite aspects of the game. The reason is because I spent most of my days in Burning Crusade doing them before they were even implemented. You may wonder how this works, but it is really quite simple. You don’t need a ... MoreWhy Stop At Dual Specs?
Posted by Bastosa on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 - 41 Comments
No one will deny that the impending release of dual specs in patch 3.1 will be a game changer, particularly for the hybrid classes out there. The ability to easily change specs based on an encounter (we need more healers!) or for an activity (no more tank farming!) will make many people’s lives much easier, ... MorePure Class DPS vs. Hybrid Class DPS

Ghostcrawler made an interesting comment on the official forums the other day which has sparked lots of conversation lately. In a thread discussing DPS among the different classes. He states: Our logic is actually pretty simple. If hybrid classes can do the same dps as pure classes, then why have pure classes in the game? So ... MoreWhat Happens When You Are “Done?”

I’ve touched on this before, when talking about a lack of end game in the current content. But once again I personally have reached an interesting point in the life of my Paladin. When Wrath first came out, and I first got a look at all of the loot tables I spent a great deal ... MoreTools To Up Your Game!

While browsing around the new Project Lore forums (you do know about the forums, right!?) I came across a great thread about your WoW set ups. The thread is “Lets see those setups!” Taking a look through the pics got me thinking about how much your gaming “gear” can affect your performace. When I started playing ... MoreIs the PTR Worth Your Time?
Posted by Bastosa on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 - 19 Comments
There has been tons of talk about 3.1, Ulduar, and the public test realms lately. So for the first time ever I have transferred my character over the PTR to look around. While I know that test realms are intended to, well, test the upcoming content, we all know that is not people’s primarily motivation ... More
