No More Brewfest

Posted in: Blog, News, Rants

This Brewfest Kodo is not mine.Last night at 12am server time, the new and improved Brewfest event packed up and left town. Pop your head out of Ironforge or Orgrimmar and you’ll see that those in charge really take the “Leave only footprints” idea to a whole new level. Anyone who hasn’t logged on might not even know that Brewfest was around, unless they take a glance around town and see tons of ram and kodo footprints.

And speaking of those mounts, how many of you ended up with one or both of them? How many tries did it take you. I, for one, had a miserable time looking for the kodo. I spent a couple of days leeching other people’s summons of the boss, often with everyone’s favorite Paladin Tank on Executus who also blogs on Project Lore, Bastosa, hoping that the RNG (random number generator)  would be kind enough to allow the kodo to drop and would bless me with the highest roll. The first half didn’t happen once in the first 13 and three quarters days.

However, last night, around, 11:55pm server time. I had just brought in some fresh blood, Lylelovett, to help summon. We were running low on both time and guildies who hadn’t done the daily quest Save Brewfest. We managed to find one more person with one more alt who would be able to activate the boss and give us one more shot at a kodo. The rogue insulted Coren to activate the encounter. Lylelovett tanked. Talonni did some poor DPS. I did some ass kicking. Quedy healed. A kodo dropped. Everyone need. Rolls:

Talonni rolls a 3.

Juggynaut rolls a 30.

Lylelovett rolls a 90.

Quedy rolls a 99.

The rogue passes (it’s an alt).

Sad times for this shaman. We managed to start one more attempt at 11:59, and one of the lame trinkets dropped.

Well, there’s always Hallow’s End.
